VIA (Voucher Issuer Association)

VIA is the association founded by Edenred (previously Accor Services) and Sodexho, both leading providers of pre-paid service vouchers, to streamline the introduction and use of the electronic luncheon voucher program.

For this groundbreaking project - which aims to replace the popular paper-based employee benefit program - VIA banked on Clear2Pay to develop the functional specifications: for each component of the payment value chain (cards, terminals, back-office) functionalities were defined, enabling an interoperable, secure payment system.

• Definition of data needed for each respective component
• Defining the graphical user interface of the terminal
• Gathering and finetuning of the requirements of both VIA and the Belgian government
• Elaboration of the Authorisation mechanism
• Building the security infrastructure:
• identification of card holder, merchant, voucher issuer
• authenticity of data
• Prototyping: end-to-end simulation of the e-Voucher program

Edenred (previously Accor Services) 

A three year collaboration between Edenred and Clear2Pay led to the introduction of the first card-based luncheon voucher on the Belgian market in September 2010. The next generation payment solution for the Belgian retail and catering industry uses dual interface technology (contact, contactless).

Following the fruitful collaboration with VIA, Clear2Pay also delivered card expertise, technical specifications and Integri test tools to Edenred. Our company also specified Edenred's front-office, middle-office and back- office enabling compliance with both the paper-based voucher program as well as the new electronic program.

Moreover, to ensure an accurate next generation payment solution, Edenred uses Integri test tools for integration testing and acceptance testing of their cards, terminals and front-end and back-office.
